In technology, our first and most trusted instinct is the reboot. It’s the universal fix, the clean slate, the humble admission that sometimes you just have to power down to power up. For over two decades, my career in software engineering—from writing my first lines of code to leading teams as a Senior Director—has been a series of reboots. Every new project, every architectural challenge, every step in leadership has been a cycle of learning, launching, and starting anew.

This journal is built on a simple, yet profound, conviction: the logic that reboots a crashed server and the grace that reboots a human soul often rhyme. Both point toward a foundational design, an intended state of order and purpose. My passion for architecting elegant, resilient software systems is the same passion that fuels my inquiry into the Ultimate Architect and His grand system. The principles of truth that ground a 2,000-year-old scripture feel strangely familiar to the first principles that build a reliable microservice.

Reboot Journal is the log file for that exploration. It’s a space to document the process of debugging both code and canon, of restarting our assumptions to find a better way forward. My goal is to chronicle this journey and invite you to join me as we:
